If libraries and bookstores top your travel lists and you daydream about owning shelves stocked to the ceiling like Bell’s, this contest is probably for you.
The New York Public Library and book-swag company Out of Print are giving away an antique book cart that once lived amongst the famous library’s towering stacks. It’s been refinished for one lucky winner and comes with nine new titles from Penguin Random House. And, to make sure you familiarize yourself with their merch, Out of Print is including a $100 gift card, too. But, those interested should know that over 115,000 entries have been recorded on the first day alone.
Starting today, May 31, the contest is open for just a week but hopefuls have multiple ways of winning by “liking,” of course, and visiting all of the social media pages of Out of Print.
The books included in the prize are:
“Home Fire” by Kamila Shamsie
“Reincarnation Blues” by Michael Poore
“Love and Other Consolation Prizes” by Jamie Ford (although there’s no runner-up in this contest)
“The Heart’s Invisible Furies” by John Boyne
“Woman No. 17” by Eden Lepucki
“The Immortalists” by Chloe Benjamin
“Watch Me Disappear” by Janelle Brown
“The Golden House” by Salman Rushdie
“Little Fires Everywhere” by Celeste Ng
Some of these aren’t even available yet in stores, a surefire way to be the envy of all your literarily inclined friends.
