It may have been below freezing in Toronto, but things got a bit heated between Serge Ibaka and James Johnson Tuesday night.
The two forwards got tangled up in the third quarter of the Heat’s 90-89 win when Ibaka tried to post up on Johnson, with the two leaning on each other. The 6-foot-10, 235-pound Ibaka tried to create separation with his forearms, resulting in Johnson slapping Ibaka’s arm down. Ibaka then shoved Johnson back, causing the 6-foot-8, 240-pound Heat forward to punch Ibaka in the face. Ibaka immediately fired back and the two proceeded to trade a few haymakers before quickly being separated by officials.
Both Ibaka and Johnson were then promptly ejected.

This isn’t the first on-court altercation Ibaka has been involved in. The Raptors forward previously received a one-game suspension last season after trading punches with Robin Lopez during the Raptors’ overtime win over the Bulls.
Both Ibaka and Johnson will likely receive a similar punishment for their actions Tuesday.
