Mitt Romney taunts Russell Westbrook during Jazz-Thunder game

Well that was unexpected.

Former presidential candidate Mitt Romney was caught by cameras taunting Russell Westbrook during the Thunder’s Game 4 matchup against the Jazz at Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah Monday night.

Romney, who resides in Utah and is planning to run for the state’s soon-to-be vacant senate seat once Sen. Orrin Hatch retires, had courtside seats for Monday’s game.

The 71-year-old politician mocked Westbrook after the Thunder guard picked up his fourth foul with 1:26 left in the first half. Shortly after Westbrook was called for an offensive charge, Romney, wearing a Rodney Hood Jazz jersey (over a dress shirt), was seen clapping and holding up four fingers and yelling “That’s four!” in Westbrook’s direction.

Westbrook did not appear to respond.

The Jazz lead the Thunder 2-1 in the seven game series.
