This ain’t the dawning of the Age of Aquarius!
Donald Trump — born 70 years ago today — has an astrological chart that makes harmony and understanding, sympathy and trust anything but abounding, to paraphrase the Fifth Dimension anthem.
Not that I believe any of this star stuff, but being born on June 14, 1946 put Trump’s sun in Gemini and his moon in Sagittarius — exactly on the other side of the chart!
That’s an eclipse, people! And you know what that means!
Well, neither did I, so I called Lynn Hayes, astrologist to the stars (no, literally!) and she explained it all to me.
And now all of Donald Trump’s little ticks, foibles and hating Mexicans makes complete sense. The fault lies not in himself, but in his stars!
First, let’s take the fact that his Gemini sun eclipses his Sagittarius moon. The moon is our emotions, Hayes told me. When emotions are hidden from the solar light, they can intensify “until they are forced to emerge through some kind of confrontation.”
A confrontation, huh? Like an election? Wow, this is getting freaky!
Trump’s birthday puts his sun in Gemini and his moon in Sagittarius.
Worse, Donald Trump’s Sun is, metaphorically speaking, in Uranus — and you know how painful having the Sun in Uranus can be. Here’s why:
“Having Uranus conjunct the Sun … encourages radical behavior, and opposite the Moon makes personal relationships difficult,” said Hayes, who has been doing astrology for 30 years. “Uranian people tend to dislike following the lead of others and prefer to create their own way.”
Hayes and I weren’t the only people to spot Trump’s big Uranus problem. Alex Miller, writing in The Mountain Astrologer, also noticed Trump’s Uranus was the source of all our pain.
“He’s a born rabble-rouser, someone who delights in shaking up the establishment, rocking the boat, messing with the status quo, defying convention and he’s not overly concerned about who he offends or disrupts along the way,” Miller wrote.
Now maybe you don’t value astrology at all, but it’s making far too much sense right now to completely ignore.
And wait, there’s more.
Leo is rising in Trump’s chart, reflecting his need to shine in the spotlight and be admired, Hayes wrote in her reading of the stars.
“Leo can be driven to do admirable works, but it can also be a Machiavellian manipulation for attention,” she wrote. What’s worse is that Trump’s Leo tendencies are exacerbated by Mars, which is also in Leo.
The combo, Hayes said, intensifies Trump’s need for attention and why he feels he must bully people. And his Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius Moon “helps to cement that super-confidence into a belief system that is virtually unshakeable,” Hayes also noted.
I repeat, I am not making this up. It’s right there in the chart for all to see.
You still don’t believe? What about this: There are no planets in Earth elements in Trump’s birth chart — which explains why he’s all “fire and air, energy, enthusiasm and ideas,” Hayes said. Someone with this chart “can’t be bothered coming up with a practical blueprint for solving the nation’s problems — he is more interested in motivating and exciting.”
I was hungry to learn more — but you knew that because Jupiter is in Gemini in MY chart for May 19, 1965 — so I pressed Hayes on one more thing: Will Trump successfully woo American voters?
Maybe if his Jupiter had aligned with Mars — but Trump has Saturn right next to Venus — and Chiron in a Venus-ruled Libra. That makes it pretty clear that Donald Trump will always be unlucky at love.
Whew, that was a close one. Maybe peace will guide the planets and love will steer the stars after all!
